Family Nurse Practitioner With Nearly 30 Years of Nursing Experience Joins Adventist Health Medical Office in Shafter

News

A board-certified family nurse practitioner with nearly 30 years of extensive nursing experience is joining the Adventist Health Medical Office in Shafter.

Myrile Piedad, MSN, FNP-BC, who has a heart for caring for others, started her new position on April 17. In her previous roles as a registered nurse, she served for many years in hospital emergency departments and outpatient settings in the Philippines, Saudi Arabia and the United States, including at Adventist Health Bakersfield.

“While working as a registered nurse, I’ve seen a lot of patients in emergency rooms, especially those from outside Bakersfield, who don’t have primary care providers,” she says.

Myrile sees her new role as a family nurse practitioner as a continuation of her healing ministry in which she has the opportunity to share God’s love by caring for and helping others.

She will care for children and adult patients of all ages. In addition to English, Myrile speaks Tagalog. She earned her family nurse practitioner degree from Walden University and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the Adventist University of the Philippines.

When she’s not caring for patients, Myrile enjoys reading, cooking and camping with family and friends by the beach. She is married with a 15-year-old daughter and two parakeets named Coco and Nutnut.

Appointments with Myrile may be made by calling the Shafter clinic at 661-746-5788. For more information about Myrile or to make an appointment online visit: AdventistHealth.org/MPiedad.
