New Patient Care Executive Named at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley

News

September 28, 2022 (Ukiah, CA) — Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is pleased to announce that Jill Bartolomie has been named Patient Care Executive, effective August 7. Reporting directly to Administrator David Leighton, Bartolomie brings a wealth of experience and clinical expertise to her new role in which she’ll oversee quality initiatives, nursing practices and several other patient-facing functions.

Bartolomie has been with Adventist Health for more than 20 years, serving most recently as Administrative Director for inpatient services for Adventist Health Ukiah Valley’s Med-Surg, OB, Wound Care and ICU departments. Her deep experience in patient care pairs nicely with the deep relationships she’s established with the community and the teams she’s supported.

“I’m excited for this opportunity to promote the vision, values and mission of Adventist Health,” says Bartolomie. “I look forward to working with colleagues and the community to continually improve the quality of care we provide.”

Bartolomie began her career at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley as a clerk in the Emergency Room. Inspired by the dedicated nurses and physicians around her, she pursued a career in nursing, working first as an LVN in an oncology practice for a decade before pursuing and receiving both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing from Sonoma State University.

At the height of the pandemic, Bartolomie led the effort to vaccinate the community by organizing much-needed vaccine clinics and directed the work preparing flex units to manage potential patient surges.

“We’re thrilled to have Jill’s expertise, counsel and relationship-building skills as part of our local leadership team,” says David Leighton, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley administrator. “Her hands-on experience and her passion for patient-centered care will help us as we make continued operational improvements to better serve the community.”

A mother of three, Bartolomie lives in Ukiah with her husband Richard and her 150-pound South African Mastiff, Rocco.
