Adventist Health Establishes Oregon Supply Chain Network

News

Adventist Health has established a new supply chain network to serve its Oregon hospitals, which include Adventist Health Portland and Adventist Health Tillamook.

High-quality and affordable patient care depends on having consistent access to necessary supplies. That has perhaps never been more obvious than the 2020 global shortage of masks and other personal protective equipment.

Grant Geschke has been appointed the area supply chain administrative director for the Oregon network. As he leads a team of individual market supply chain managers and directors, Geschke will oversee many supply chain functions, from inventory and replenishment to receiving, warehousing and internal distribution. He will also lead strategies for systemwide supply chain operations that optimize operations, logistics, processes and technology across the organization.

“I am pleased to announce Grant’s appointment,” says Ivan Popoff, Adventist Health supply chain operations executive. “Grant is proud of his supply chain team and Adventist Health colleagues and will connect purpose to the tasks ahead.”

Geschke’s experience in this field spans more than a quarter century. He joined Adventist Health Portland in May 1995 as a receiving clerk. He went on to become a central supply manager, purchasing manager and supply chain director. Under his leadership, Adventist Health Portland received the 2021 Supply Chain Excellence Award from health care improvement leader Premier.
