Adventist Health Portland names new finance officer

News

Adventist Health Portland recently named Jason Panasuk its new finance officer. Panasuk replaces Don Welch, who is transitioning to Adventist Health’s corporate office in Roseville, California.

As finance officer, Panasuk leads Adventist Health Portland’s budget, productivity, labor management and capital. He also spearheads financial relationships with provider partners, including Adventist Health, Oregon Health & Science University, insurance payers and governing bodies.

“We are grateful for Jason’s leadership and commitment to our mission,” says Kyle King, Adventist Health Portland president. “Many of our leaders work closely with Jason and say he’s a trusted ally and mentor who has helped them more effectively understand and manage their financial operations.”

Prior to assuming his new role, Panasuk served in finance roles for both the Adventist Health system and Adventist Health Portland since 2014. He says the culture keeps him at Adventist Health and has him excited to lead the organization forward.

“Time and time again we’ve shown that our culture is to get behind the hard work and say ‘we can do it,’” Panasuk explains. “I believe that our drive and our unique partnerships provide us with huge potential for success.”

Panasuk holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota. He completed his undergraduate studies at Walla Walla University, where he also served as a certified flight instructor.
