Podiatrist Juan C. Martinez, DPM, joins Adventist Health in Fowler and Selma

News

Patients in Fowler and Selma now have additional podiatry services available to them, with the addition of podiatrist Juan C. Martinez, DPM, to Adventist Health Medical Office – Fowler and Selma Central. Martinez provides a range of services including foot and ankle surgeries, reconstructions, limb salvage and diabetic foot examinations and care.

Martinez decided to pursue a career in podiatry after personally experiencing the impact injuries have on a person’s quality of life.

“I went through may foot and ankle injuries growing up, and feel a deep sense of connection for those dealing with these types of issues. It may seem subtle, but when a person has issues with their foot or ankle, their life is significantly affected. Being able to help people return to work and recreational activities is very fulfilling.”

A graduate of New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City, Martinez also earned his bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating cum laude, from Utah Valley University in Orem. He completed a three-year residency program at Heritage Valley Health Systems in Beaver, Penn., where he served as chief resident. Fluent in English and Spanish, Martinez believes communication is integral to a successful doctor-patient relationship.

In his free time, Martinez enjoys spending time with his wife and children, along with hiking, camping and running.

Martinez is accepting new patients and may be reached at the following locations:

  • Adventist Health Medical Office – Selma Central, located at 2141 High St., Ste. E, in Selma
  • Adventist Health Medical Office – Fowler, located at 300 S. Leon S. Peters Blvd., in Fowler
