Adventist Health appoints president of Kern County services

News

Daniel Wolcott, current president of Adventist Health Lodi Memorial and Dameron Hospital in Stockton, has been appointed president of Adventist Health Kern County Care Delivery, effective Dec. 1, 2020, the company announced today. Wolcott will lead and support the three Adventist Health Kern County hospitals in Bakersfield, Tehachapi and Delano, working closely with Adventist Health Delano President David Butler.

“Daniel is a dynamic leader with a passion for quality, innovation and excellence,” said Scott Reiner, Adventist Health CEO. “I am confident he has the vision to expand care and services for our communities.”

Wolcott demonstrated true leadership in the face of COVID-19, leading the Lodi and Dameron teams through some of the highest case numbers in San Joaquin County. During his tenure at Lodi, he helped launch an impressive orthopedic program and was instrumental in developing a new cancer center that is currently under construction. Under Wolcott’s leadership, the hospital also made great strides in patient safety.

“I have been blessed to serve our San Joaquin County teams and look forward to joining the Kern County community,” says Wolcott.

Wolcott has navigated the complexities of partnerships in Lodi, including the recent management agreement with Dameron Hospital in Stockton and the 2015 integration of Lodi Memorial Hospital to Adventist Health. His experience will directly benefit the future expansion of our mission in Kern County.

Community involvement is important to Wolcott. He is committed to economic development, improvements in livability, education, infrastructure and tourism. He served on the boards of the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce, Business Council of San Joaquin and San Joaquin Health Leadership Council and was the founding president of HealthForce Partners, a workforce development nonprofit organization.

Terri Day, who is interim president at Dameron Hospital in Stockton, will also serve as interim president at Adventist Health Lodi Memorial.
