Gastroenterology Center opens in Hanford

Body

For decades, Adventist Health in the Central Valley has provided exceptional gastroenterology services to help ease heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), bloating, swallowing difficulties and more. Beginning July 7, patients will receive the same high-quality care for their digestive problems, but in a dedicated Gastrointestinal (GI) Center, inside the Hanford Medical Pavilion, 125 Mall Drive in Hanford.

A team of experienced specialists will provide gastrointestinal care, colonoscopies, Bravo pH studies and Pill Cam and Manometry procedures among others.

“Our physicians are excited to have their own space, where they can use the latest advancements in technology to care for our community,” says Dr. Frank Gavini, medical director for Adventist Health services in the Central Valley.

The GI Center has three pre-operative bays, two GI suites where colonoscopies and esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGDs) will be performed, one procedure room where manometry and Pill Cam procedures will take place and five post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) recovery bays.

“One of the advantages of having a GI Center within our Hanford Medical Pavilion is that it’s conveniently located on the first floor, where we also offer Lab and Imaging services. It’s a one-stop-shop,” says Laurie Taggart, patient care executive for Adventist Health services in the Central Valley.

The center is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for those 18 and older and by referral from a primary care provider. Most insurances are accepted.
