Adventist Health Sonora Welcomes Cardiologist Melanie Davidson, MD

Adventist Health Sonora is pleased to announce the addition of board-certified cardiologist Melanie Davidson, MD, to its medical staff. Davidson cares for patients with coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, arterial fibrillation and more. She offers a full range of care, including consultations, stress testing, heart catheterization, pacemakers and transesophageal echocardiogram.

Davidson earned her medical degree and Bachelor of Science degree in clinical laboratory science from Loma Linda University. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and a cardiology fellowship at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. “I want to help people during difficult times, and I also want to prevent their diseases from worsening,” she says about becoming a cardiologist.

Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Davidson also is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Originally from Southern California, Davidson has lived in Tennessee for the past 16 years.
